Conservation · Meeting of September 23, 2026
Kingston's Conservation Commission ordered enforcement against a developer who left a subdivision's bridge and stormwater systems unfinished for years. The board voted 6-0 to give Peter Delprete 30 days to contact the office over Barrowsbrook Village's unresolved permits, with $300-per-violation fines and a March 23, 2027 deadline to file for compliance. Resident Ronnie Littiff described a deteriorating bridge and said "I could go on and on for days" about unresolved safety issues.
The commission also voted 6-0 to require applicant John Cadigan to file a full Notice of Intent, rather than a lighter determination, for a driveway and parking area roughly 37.6 feet from Kingston Bay wetlands. Five other matters, including a vernal-pool restoration dispute at 41 Clearing Farm Road, were continued to October 14 or 28.
