Capital Planning · Meeting of March 11, 2026

Kingston Capital Planning Committee hears school equipment requests but cannot act without certified free cash. The committee, chaired by Heath Enberg and including members Wayne Boley and David Fuller, reviewed a request for a Ventrac tractor, quoted at just under $60,000, and a Kubota RTV at approximately $30,000, both intended to handle grounds maintenance and snow clearing at Kingston Intermediate and Kingston Elementary schools. A staff member identified only as Scott confirmed free cash has not yet been certified by the state, leaving the committee without a firm spending total as the town warrant closes March 24.

Enberg estimated the town faces a roughly $700,000 snow and ice deficit drawing from the same capital pool. A phased server replacement plan for town buildings was also reviewed, with fiscal year 2027 costs cited at two $14,299 units plus $10,000 for installation. The committee adjourned unanimously at 6:44 p.m. with a possible additional meeting on March 19 still under discussion.
