Septage revenue hit $622,000 in FY25, up roughly $290,000 year over year, as regional private plants have sought capacity at Kingston's facility, which commissioners credited to strong plant operations.

The commission also flagged a potential $70,000 annual gap in Phase 1 and Phase 2 betterment accounts dating back to roughly 2006, which could represent hundreds of thousands of dollars in uncollected revenue across multiple years of administrative turnover. The department is expected to submit its FY27 budget to Town Administrator Scott on February 4.
