Planning Board · Meeting of August 10, 2026

Kingston Planning Board approved a new house lot on Nelson Street without requiring any road construction. The board voted 4-0 to approve a definitive subdivision at 29 Nelson Street, splitting a 195,827-square-foot parcel into a 49,144-square-foot buildable lot and a 141,997-square-foot "retreat lot," after granting a waiver of all subdivision construction. The board separately continued a special permit hearing on converting a 149 Main Street hotel to housing under the town's inclusionary zoning bylaw to September 28, after petitioner Diversified Funding Acquisition LLC failed to submit a required site plan.

Members also approved minor site plan changes for a Longview Realty LLC treatment facility at 363 Bishops Highway, including an elevator addition and a $25,000 payment to Sacred Heart Elementary School in place of a fence, which attorney Adam Brodsky said resolved concerns raised by the school's families.
