Kingston Board of Health debates public restaurant grading and hears of three tobacco violations. Separately, three Kingston vendors — Brazilian Point, Speedway, and South Shore Vapes — have requested hearings after compliance checks found they sold tobacco to minors; the department is awaiting town counsel guidance before scheduling those hearings, and Joyce noted the board has no authority to reduce the associated fines.

Joyce also confirmed that the town administrator has formally approved a new assistant health agent position, to be filled by current staffer Lori effective July 1, and flagged unconfirmed speculation that a roughly $400,000 annual regional public health grant may expire after fiscal year 2027.
